Osteopaths work on a principle that the body is a unit. This means that the pain or discomfort does not always arise from the area itself. As an osteopath, I take a holistic approach and try to find a hidden cause, rather than just treating the symptoms. The treatment is always tailored for your specific needs and preference, because we treat “the person”, not “the symptoms”. I ensure that the treatment helps you getting out of pain quicker, as well as preventing it from recurring again and again.
Osteopathy is a well-established, statutory regulated primary care system, and I am fully registered with General Osteopathic Council. In UK, we go through 4-years full time training, learning how to properly assess the biomechanics, and neurological problems arising from its issues. We are able to address and treat various tissues, such as muscles, joint capsules and articulations, ligamentous / tendinous / fascial tension and so on.
The techniques I use are gentle and safe, and the treatment aims to promote the relaxation and well-being, improving your general health, not just treating the pain. I am also trained in CFT (Craniosacral Fascial Therapy) developed by Dr Barry Gilespy, and I often combine osteopathic approach and technique with CFT, and it seems to give a great results so far.
If you would like to know more about osteopathy / CFT and what I can help you with, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am happy to discuss what I can offer, and I look forward to talking to you.
